It’s a quick and versatile recipe that uses bread as a base instead of traditional pizza dough. This means you don’t have to worry about making or waiting for pizza dough to rise. Actually I was planning to make a pizza last evening. Due to some reasons, I couldn’t knead the dough for pizza. We prefer homemade pizza dough base than store bought ones. Last I thought of making pizza’s with bread, which I have seen in some reels of a Chef. Thus, my evening was made complete with this cheese filled bread with shredded beef.

Plus, you can easily experiment with different toppings and flavors to suit your family’s preferences. In this recipe, I had taken shredded beef as the main topping ingredient. To make bread pizza, you’ll need the following basic ingredients:

  1. Bread slices: Choose any type of bread you prefer, such as white bread, whole wheat bread, or even baguette slices. opt for a bread that is thick and sturdy enough to hold the toppings without becoming soggy.

  2. Pizza sauce: You can either use store-bought pizza sauce or make your own at home. To make a basic pizza sauce, combine tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes with herbs like basil and oregano, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. You can also add a pinch of sugar to balance the acidity of the tomatoes.

  3. Cheese: Mozzarella cheese is the traditional choice for pizza due to its great melting properties. However, feel free to experiment with other cheeses like cheddar, pizza cheese, or a blend of different cheeses to add extra flavor.

  4. Toppings: This is where you can get creative and customize your bread pizza to your liking. Some popular toppings include sliced vegetables like mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, and tomatoes. Ingredients

  1. Beef, cut into small cubes – 200g

  2. Crushed ginger and garlic – 1 teaspoon

  3. Turmeric powder – 1/4 teaspoon

  4. Pepper Powder – 1/2 teaspoon

  5. Salt – 1/2 teaspoon

  6. Finely chopped onion – 1

  7. Finely chopped tomatoes – 1

  8. Finely chopped capsicum – 1/2

  9. oil – 2 teaspoon

  10. Pizza sauce – 3 tablespoon

  11. Chilli flakes – 1 teaspoon

  12. Pizza seasoning or any mixed herbs – 1 teaspoon

  13. Mozzarella cheese or pizza cheese – 3 tablespoon

  14. Bread – 3 slices

  15. Butter – for toasting


Method of preparation

  1. Clean the beef and pressure cook with salt, turmeric powder, pepper powder, crushed ginger garlic and water (just enough to cover the beef) for about 3 whistles.

  2. Allow the pressure to release on its own, remove excess water and allow it to cool completely.

  3. Shred the cooked beef using a fork or mixer, make sure not to grind it into paste form.

  4. Keep the shredded beef aside.

  5. Heat oil in a kadai and add chopped onions to it.

  6. Once the onion changes it’s color, add chopped tomatoes and capsicum.

  7. Add a pinch of salt and pepper powder to the kadai.

  8. Now add shredded beef and mix well.

  9. Sauté for 3 to 4 minutes in low flame, and then switch off the flame.

  10. Shredded beef mix is ready to place on bread.

  11. Apply some butter on a pan and then toast bread on one side until golden and crisp.

  12. Place the toasted bread side up and spread the pizza sauce on the bread.

  13. Now. place the shredded beef mix over the pizza sauce.

  14. Then add Mozzarella cheese over it.

  15. Garnish the bread with red chilli flakes and seasonings.

  16. Brush the same pan with butter and place this bread slice over it.

  17. Cover the lid and cook on low flame until cheese melts completely (takes 4-5 minutes).

  18. Bread Pizza is ready to serve.

  19. Serve hot with Tomato sauce.
