Key Tips for Making Momos
The dough is made using all-purpose flour, salt, and oil. For a healthier version, you can substitute all-purpose flour with wheat flour. However, the authentic taste of momos comes from using all-purpose flour. If you are filling the momos with vegetables alone, it is best to sauté them in oil before stuffing. Otherwise, water will be released from the vegetables during steaming, resulting in soggy momos.
Momo chutney is also very simple to prepare. You can make it easily at home with minimal ingredients. The only step required is soaking Kashmiri red chilies in hot water, then blending them with tomatoes and other ingredients to form a fine paste.
