How about a rainy day and having a hot chilli chicken for your lunch? Just imagine! This would be a delightful experience for all the Chinese food lovers out there. Today, I am sharing a mouthwatering recipe of chicken that can be served both as a starter as well as a side dish for rice and chapatis.
This is a sweet and crispy homemade version of chicken prepared with honey as the base of the sauce, hence the name, Honey Chilli Chicken. In this recipe, chicken pieces are marinated, fried to golden brown perfection, and then tossed in a deliciously sweet and spicy sauce.
Marination and Frying Process
The batter used for marinating the chicken is made using all-purpose flour, corn flour, and other flavorful ingredients. The chicken pieces are coated well in this batter and left to marinate for about 20 to 30 minutes. Once marinated, fry them until golden brown and set them aside.
Preparing the Sauce
In a kadai, a sauce is prepared using honey, along with other spices and condiments. The fried chicken pieces are then added to this rich, flavorful sauce, making for a truly irresistible dish. Serve this delicious honey chilli chicken with special rice, and I am absolutely sure you will make this dish again and again!
