Chilli pork

Chilli pork is one of the best and most versatile dishes that pairs perfectly with noodles, fried rice, naan, chapati, and more. This recipe ensures the pork slices are juicy and flavorful.

There are many variations of chilli pork, but this particular recipe is a cherished one from my mother. It became so popular that she received numerous calls for the recipe after hosting lunch and dinner gatherings. Now, I’m sharing it with you!


Ingredients

For Cooking the Pork

  • Pork – 1 kg (thinly sliced)
  • Chopped Ginger – 1 tablespoon
  • Vinegar – 1 teaspoon
  • Soya Sauce – 1 teaspoon
  • Pepper Powder – As per taste
  • Salt – As per taste
  • Water – 1 cup

Cooking Instructions

  1. In a pressure cooker, add the pork along with ginger, vinegar, soya sauce, pepper powder, and salt.
  2. Pour in 1 cup of water and cook until the pork is tender.

Method of Preparation

Additional Ingredients

  • Carrot – 2 (chopped)
  • Capsicum – 2 (chopped into squares)
  • Onion – 3 (chopped into squares)
  • Kashmiri Chilli Powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Pepper Powder – ½ teaspoon
  • Green Chilli – 2 (slit)
  • Corn Flour – 1 tablespoon (mixed in 1 cup of water)
  • Chopped Celery – 2 teaspoons
  • Tomato Sauce – 3 tablespoons
  • Chilli Sauce – 2 tablespoons
  • Oil – As required

Cooking Steps

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté onions, green chilli, and carrot until softened.
  2. Add Kashmiri chilli powder and pepper powder, sauté until the raw smell disappears.
  3. Add the cooked pork to the pan and mix well.
  4. Pour in the corn flour mixture (1 cup of water mixed with 1 tbsp corn flour) and stir continuously.
  5. Add tomato sauce and chilli sauce, sauté for another 2 minutes.
  6. Finally, add chopped capsicum and mix well.
  7. Garnish with celery and serve hot.

Adding capsicum enhances the flavor and gives the dish an amazing taste.
