  • Mutton ribs (cut into small pieces) – 500g
  • Fennel seeds – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Chopped shallots – 10
  • Garlic (crushed) – 1 tablespoon
  • Ginger (crushed) – 1 teaspoon
  • Pepper powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Tomato (chopped) – 1
  • Coriander leaves – 3 tablespoons
  • Ghee – 1 tablespoon
  • Salt – 1.5 teaspoons

Method of Preparation:

  1. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker and add fennel seeds.
  2. Add crushed ginger and garlic and sauté until the raw smell disappears.
  3. Add chopped shallots and sauté well.
  4. Add salt, turmeric powder, pepper powder, and coriander powder.
  5. Mix well and then add the chopped tomatoes.
  6. Add mutton ribs and coat them well with the masala mixture.
  7. Pour in 1 liter of water and pressure cook the mutton on low to medium flame.
  8. Allow the pressure to release naturally before opening the cooker.
  9. Stir well and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  10. Adjust salt and pepper as needed and serve the soup hot.
