Russian Salad (Olivier Salad) – A Classic and Delicious Dish

Ingredients
- Potatoes (chopped into small cubes) – 500 g
- Carrots – 200 g
- Tomato (chopped without pulp) – 1
- Apple (chopped and marinated with lemon juice) – 1
- Mayonnaise – 150 g
- Frozen peas – 125 g
- Spring onion (sliced) – 1
- Handful of parsley
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Method of Preparation
- Boil the chopped potatoes in water with a pinch of salt for about 10 minutes.
- Add the carrots and frozen peas, continuing to cook for another 4 to 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- Drain the boiled water, cool the vegetables under cold running water, and drain again.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked vegetables, chopped apple, and tomato with mayonnaise.
- Garnish with sliced spring onion and parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer the salad to a serving bowl and present it beautifully.
