Jackfruit Halwa

Jackfruit Halwa

Jackfruit halwa, also known as Kathal ka Halwa, is a sweet and indulgent dessert made from ripe jackfruit. Jackfruit is a tropical fruit with a distinctive sweet aroma and a unique taste that can range from mild to intense, depending on its ripeness. When used in desserts like halwa, jackfruit lends its naturally sweet flavor and rich texture to create a delightful treat.

A Seasonal Delight

It is the time of jackfruit, and for all the halwa lovers, I am introducing Jackfruit Halwa. I will make it a bit tastier, and this will be a real treat for all the sweet tooths out there. Though it is a long and time-consuming process, the effort is truly worth it. Since jackfruit is a seasonal fruit, my mother prepares it in bulk and stores it for off-seasons.

You can serve jackfruit halwa warm or at room temperature. It’s a delightful dessert that is enjoyed for its unique jackfruit flavor, enhanced by the richness of ghee and nuts. Jackfruit halwa is a specialty in regions where jackfruit is abundant, offering a sweet twist on the natural flavors of the fruit. It’s a great way to celebrate the tropical delight of jackfruit in a traditional Indian dessert.
